This position is responsible for all facets of commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems sales including:
• Product presentations for facility managers and CxO executives • Collaborate effectively with project personnel including sales support and finance • Pipeline development – prospecting and contract negotiation • Manage performance against quota • Timely and accurate forecasts • Develop and maintain account plans • Strategic and tactical opportunity development and qualification skills • Liaise with commercial and political organizations, attend trade shows and conferences
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
• 10+ years proven experience in complex selling: prospects comprise multiple "buyers" in different parts of the organization • Success selling Enterprise Contracts to Fortune 500 companies, especially big box retailers and manufacturers • Experience selling either energy or finance-related products to large corporations at both an executive and regional levels • Track record of closing $$ multi-million opportunities with long sales cycles • Hunters not farmers; able to qualify quickly and decisively; super focused (cannot rely on easy repeat orders from a customer) • Able to focus prospect on crisp simple selling points and away from the complicated details inherent to photovoltaic (PV) systems • Experience selling a value-based message to business buyers • Demonstrated ability to sell into an early adopter marketplace • Strong understanding of pricing strategies and technical concepts regarding clean energy • Background in selling energy related products and/or systems • Must be able to juggle 10-15 deals in the pipeline at any given time • Current utilization of sales methodology highly preferred • Aggressive, persistent, proactive (since solar doesn't sell itself well), high energy, strong work ethic
