I just returned from a vacation in Hawaii. I met with a company called Sopogy, Inc. They are using a technology called Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) which uses radiant heat from sun to produce electrical energy. Their system was a bunch of panels, with a high temperature heat fluid, that sends steam into a generator to create electricity. You guys should check it out if you get a chance. www.sopogy.com and they are looking for help in talent or products even media coverage. I thought it was cool and the guys were really nice too.

Concentrated Solar Power is really finding a revival. I remember when that Kramer Junction project was built. It was quite revolutionary for the time. I never understood why more emphasis didn't go into CSP vs. Wind.

What do you guys think about adding in a bio-mass component to help the electricity. Like burning sugar cane which they use for ethanol? The cane has to go somewhere right? Why not do a combined cycle application and make more electricity then tie that into Sopogy. That's solid.
