Floating hydro-generators have been used in the past and its time to revive them,these Shipmills were used to gring grain,but they can be used to generate electricity or to pump water from seasonal sources to reservoir s..they are simply floating boats with what look like paddlewheels,but instead of pushing the boat they turn to generate power,they can be used without disturbing or killing the fish or other wildlife..
