i am a single mom of 2 ...limited income...i want us to move more toward an "off the grid" existence...i have been scouring the internet looking for plans to build solar panels...everyone is charging !! now i KNOW somehwere on the information superhighway..that it has to be FREE somewhere...
can ANYONE please help me?? ie...a url for a site with the plans ..or the name of a book i can get to at the library...please!

Photovoltaics are produced from molten glass which is pure silicon and then baked with boron or other noble metals to destablize the electrons and then a grid of silver is attached as a conductor,etc.you can find used PV panels and seconds which produce less than the rated amount but work great,some places will sell you off spec panels..you can assemble your own from broken cells but usually these are sold in grabbags for exper-
