80% of the worlds wealth is held by 10% of the population, a disturbing revelation in itself but what if the whole of humankind had to rely on them for sustinance for the rest of our existence? With the unravelling of the DNA of rice, large corperations hod the key that will preserve the human race for the rest of our spell on earth. Food supplies are slowly depleting due to pollution, TTO (total toxic overload) is a condition where those at the bottom of the food chain become so polluted that they are unsafe to eat. As other animals consume these organisms they too become infected, until the entirity of the food chain can no longer function in safe and healthy conditions. This applies to crops. Rice will slowly become inedible as acid rain and abusive farming methods begin to take their toll. As this is the staple diet for a lot of the worlds population they will have no choice but to either farm a new crop, spending millions of pounds on new equipment or turn to the Capitalist Fat Cats for the key to altering the structure of rice so as to make it more healthy and insecticide tolerant. It is my belief that this could begin to happen with an array of organisms until our entire diet is monopolised by big business. This will mean an end to the agricultural world as we know it and another source of income for 'The Capitalists'... Ben.
