Human manure is an unappreciated resource,it
has even been called waste yet in Nature
there is no waste,The Earth and all the Life
upon earth are closed in what is called a
"Materially Closed Cycle"and thanks to the
Sun which showers the earth with Energy every
day we have what is called an "Energetically
Open"system,Humanure can be used as an energy
source when it is digested by anaorobic soil
organisms into Methane Gas and fertilizer.

Human waste(there is no correct word for it)
I will call it Humanure because it is a
resource which is being wasted and misused,
it has always gone back to the soil to act
as food for the billions of organisms which
then break down and make food for Plants,so
by taking our waste out of the Cycle we are
cheating Nature and breaking a cycle that has
lasted billions of years,we must return our
resource to the Cycles of Life..

Hi, i think you have great ideas.
i am a herb grower in my spare time and i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to turn human waste into fertilizer and how to minimise the smelly gases produced when doing so?

Thanx

I think I'm write in saying that if you poo in a bucket full of straw then bung it in a pile at the bottom of your garden then it should rot down nicely.

You might get a few funny looks from your neighbours mind...

Oh, and there might be some public health considerations
