I've been doing some research (as time allows) on the construction of Geodesic homes. I am seriously considering a prototype this spring and, if after the prototype, I'm hoping to build a dome-home.
At this time, I'm playing with ideas for construction materials, etc. I live in a warm, wet climate that is prone to hurricanes. Does anyone have any practical advice or suggestions?
If any one is interested in the project, I'll keep you posted.

i have seen your posts and appreciate your contributions to this forum...i am moving into a small house...it is very tiny so it should be easy to heat in the winter. if you have any ideas regarding conservation, please share them. in time i hope to ultra-insulate it, use passive solar to help heat the place (it's in the mountains where it gets cold), install solar panels and maybe wind turbines for electricity, and use any other money and energy saving ideas i can come up with. please share any ideas...thanks, rick
