Did you ever notice how hard it is to find a
place to pee,,,it seems that our traditional
Puritan ethic is alive and well when it comes
to bodily functions,we think by denying the
fact that we must pee alot, then we have taken
care of the problem...european tradition has
places to pee built into Urban Design, right
in the bases of fountains and statues and
along side historic buildings you will find
discreet places to turn your back and pee..

Yes! And when you do finally find a place, it's so over-used that you walk outta there smelling like everyone else's pee!

Then you gotta consider how unhealthy it is to hold your water for extended periods of time, while pounding the pavement to find a "designated" spot for the most natural of bodily functions.

I'll drain it in a parking lot before I'll subject myself to that socially-induced goose chase.

Just my $.02

I agree. I like to urinate outdoors and not waste the 1.5 gallons of water on washing away waste that somehow is "unsightly" and evil, although we all need to do it several times a day (several times an hour when coffee's around).

In fact you can kill two birds with one stone and unleash your torrent on the compost heap, it's a really good catalyst for 'rotting down'!

If piss is so clean, go piss in a bottle and let it sit like that for a while and see what it looks like.

Unless something is wrong with you, your urine should be sterile. If you get a bad cut while you are out backpacking, you can wash it with your urine to keep from getting an infection.
