We communicate you that if you know, have read or have heard about us, our ideas, goals and efforts done and to be devoted to the conservation of the native plants of our province; you can be part of this project.
At the moment we began with a great dream that is the developing of a botanical garden in our family land, it will help to protect the rich and diverse native flora. We have started some years ago with a small collection but now this collection is composed by more than 4000 plants leading by orchids and ariods that grow together with ornamental plants, shrubs, vines and trees. Also we have useful plants such us edible plants and shrubs; aquatic plants; plantlets of timber trees and medicinal plants. This are arranged landscaping enbankments, a small forest and a fish pond.
We have much to continue doing but our economical resources are limited to carry out this propose, then I appeal for you help with anything you can and have to bring us maybe with funds, information, ideas, technology or identifying our species by all this we will be very thankful.
For more information regarding to our botanical garden and if you want to contribute us, please contact us to the phone number ++ 593 7 605 911 or to my e-mail: marcomarcelo@hotmail.com, or visit us on the web at: www.thebestofecuador.com\zamora.htm

Perhaps you can charge the local schools for student tours as Botany Lessons,Biology, etc you can prepare slides for Microscope from pond water, etc.perhaps Childrens Gardens to Grow food for local schools so that the child can learn about Nature and Contribute to her own and even her familys "Nutrition"which is another subject they should learn...You can offer small cabins to weary city people for Nature weekend retreats,or a summer kids camp

Thanks a lot by your answer. This is the first message of reply made to our request.
Your suggestion for our project is great. It's a wonderful idea because if we teaching the children, we will do efforts to increase the poor knowledge of our native flora in the actual and future generations and so we will have the hope that they will do the best for protect and preservate them.
At the moment we don't have any microscopes in our own because here they are expensive to obtain but I expect in the next years adquire one to do a lot of research and can share it with the local schools, colleges and universities.
About the cabins is another great idea that with some economical inversion we can do it.
I hope to continue communicate us,
Sincerely yours,
Marco Jimenez Zamora ECUADOR
