We're currently in Virginia near Charlottesville. The winters (no leaves for 6 mo.) are too long we want to move further south. We have our own online businesses, so it's just a matter of finding the place. I want a longer gardening season, but not so hot and humid. We've lived in AL & it stayed hot all night. Don't mind hot days if it cools off in eve. Looking for a more rural or small town location and a housing area that would be next to or near nature trails. Is that a big order? ;-) Hoping some of you have some ideas. I've spent weeks online but all I seem to find are the gated communities with golf courses when I search for land preservation communities, etc. Thanks for any information you can offer. We want to do this before Fall comes again.
