I wholeheartily question this term.
Yes, I know what the term is suppose to mean, but it does not.
Each human caused action creates more pollution.
No cake and eating it too here.

We must start to work with our Earth if the human species is to survive this time of peril.Look this Earth will survive without us anyway. It will have its own new development which will be good for any lifeforms left.

We have to realize this and try to stop playing God.The human species I am told started out as hunter gatherers. Therefore if you live off the land you would tend to take care of it.

Tribal life has much to be said for it. Normally Its leaders are elders and they recieved their wisdom first hand.

Lets look at the mistakes of past civilizations.
Mistake one was to stay in one place too long thus making it an open sewer garbage dump conbine.
Mistake number two was trying to control other peoples of the area either with commerce or warfare thus creating nothing but termoil.

There isn't much difference between humans today with the exception now we even try to beat down humans of our own persuation with both commerce and so called laws.

No sireeee. You cannot have sustainable development in that kind of atmosphre.

So what am I preaching? Just the harmony the rest of the lifeforms of this Earth have with their Mother. For them the Earth has everythiing right there to survive. Yes it will be the survival of the fittest, but again most will be fit. Our populations will go down to where the Earth can take care of us.

Do I expect this to ever happen? NO!
I expect that Sustainable Development will win the day soon . I expect that not long afterwards humans will see that Sustainable developement was just a ploy by the powers that be to hold on to the Status Quo of always taking without giving back to this Earth.
A forest clearcut and and the planting of a few species of fast growing trees is your sustainable development.
The enlargement of human towns and cities while making a few more green areas is your sustainable development.
Producing more electricity even with greener technologies rather then to learn to live with less is again your sustainable development.

You do know we can right at this second build dwellings where you never need any energy to warm or cool? And no it isn't new.
Did you know we at anytime can take something we would normally throw away and save energy by creating other uses for this item.
And this idea isn't new either.
We can save water just with a rain barrel.
we can cut down to one motor vehicle per family.
Again it has successfully been done before.
Everyone can grow part of their own food.
We can buy or trade locally for the rest.
Does anyone want to take a guess about all the energy savings here?

Now the problem! The human species today would go into this senario quite doubtful of success this would either find excuses to return to the developemnt or just outright fail and starved to death.

AgaiN I do not expect but a few humans to try living with less energy. Oh they will succeed, but will be ignored by the masses.

Now what will happen to those greedy masses. It will be war after war after war over the last of the earth's stocks. Then complete anarchy will set in where brother will kill brother for a bowl of Soylent Green.
The end will come for humans without any Christ. They won't care by then anyway.

And last may I state that I am glad for this forum. The few that haunt this place at the very least are trying to look for solutions. While I might not agree with them or them agree with me,We together are at least trying.
I Thank You All
Concern
