I agree with everything you said and I will voice my priority in preserving habitat and limiting pollution for the preservation of our delicate ecosystem and all of its wonderful creatures.
However, these numbers throw me. Its not the first time I've seen them but I would like some clarification. I'm guessing the "100 species/day" is worldwide? If it were this country, alone, then I guess we'd have about 10 days before all 950 of our endangered species were gone and another 1000 were in the queue. Something about this doesn't compute.
I am asking this in sincerity, if someone can shed some light on these numbers I would be grateful.
In the mean time, it surely cannot hurt to express the importance of preserving our ecosystem.
