I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much research is being conducted that would make ethical, environmentally safe disposal or re-use of industrial waste proffitable for companies. Some may say that I am siding with big business on this front, but I see it as a simple solution to a difficult question. I mean, imagine if all companies stopped polluting because ethical disposal or re-use of waste was proffitable. The companies would be happy because they wouldn't lose money and we would have a cleaner environment. Thanks in advance for any help on this subject.

I recommend you check out the website.... Rocky Mountain Institute..RMI.org.they are trying to convince industry to work together to find reuses for many of thier wastes and in fact many things are being done although there is a danger as always with putting Profit in the picture because as you know,if there is profit to be made someone will screw everything up,and some of the products have been found to be Toxic...
