Wilderness Act's 40th Anniversary – Make Congress Protect Our Wild Lands

In the 40 years of the Wilderness Act's history, this is only the 2nd Congress to fail to designate even one acre of land as federally protected wilderness to be preserved and enjoyed by Americans forever. Despite the fact that many beautiful and unique places, including Utah's Redrocks wilderness and the Arctic Coastal Plain, are currently threatened by development and by oil and gas drilling, the 108th Congress has done nothing to protect them.
Please sign a petition to urge Congress to honor the enduring legacy of the Wilderness Act on its 40th birthday by designating these and other precious areas as federally protected wilderness before it's too late! Click here to sign the petition now: http://www.40WildYears.org

Every day that goes by without Wilderness protection leaves our nation’s wild lands at risk. Please spread the word about www.40WildYears.org!
