My name is Vyacheslav Kudryavtsev, I work with environmental NGO "Baikal Environmental Wave", Russia and I've been looking for information on impact of batteries on human health and environment. Perhaps someone could share some ideas where I can find such an information, which should be reliable and extended (in details). In our community we face the problem of waste battereies and car batteries, but no sollution has been yet found. We hope to encourage and force our authorities to take on this issue, but first we must give them and the general public information on why batteries and car batteries,as well as waste motor oil and tires are dangerous, especially on the landfill. We would be very grateful if anyone could share some ideas on how to do it more efficiently and better.
